What does the job look like?

This role is based at our Emerald terminal, where you will handle general mining freight and deliver to customers and mine sites across the southern Bowen Basin. Your day starts early at 5:00am, giving you a clear run and a well paced schedule. You will split your time between driving and forklift work, keeping freight moving safely and on time. Key areas: 

• Load, unload, and secure freight using dogs and chains, straps, and binders, double‑checking restraints.
• Operate forklifts safely and efficiently at our Emerald terminal, taking care with mixed freight and mine‑site critical materials.
• Deliver freight to mine sites and follow each site’s safety and access requirements.
• Apply safety standards consistently, including CoR and NHVR fatigue rules.
  
• Keep customers updated with clear, courteous communication and represent Linfox with professionalism.

Are you the one?

You are an experienced and conscientious operator who takes pride in your excellent driving record and safe work history. You'll bring:

• A current and valid HC license
• LF forklift licence or willing to obtain one
• Strong load restraint skills suited to mining freight
  
• Sound knowledge of Chain of Responsibility (CoR), NHVR fatigue, and road transport regulations
  
• Confident, respectful customer service — you’re the face of Linfox on the road
