What does the job look like? 

As a Security and Asset Protection Officer, you'll support security, risk, and asset protection initiatives across Queensland and the Northern Territory, based from our Willawong site. Working across approximately 37 sites, you'll partner with operational leaders to deliver security projects, conduct investigations, complete site audits, and provide expert security advice. This is a diverse role offering a mix of project management, risk assessment, security infrastructure, and operational support across a large and complex logistics network.

This role is onsite based out of our QLD State Office in Willawong.

 

Other duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Project manage security infrastructure for new and existing warehouse developments, including CCTV, alarm, and access control systems.
  • Support the design, scoping, implementation, and commissioning of security solutions across multiple sites.
  • Conduct investigations, incident management activities, and security reviews in a professional and confidential manner.
  • Complete detailed site security audits, assessments, and risk reviews, providing recommendations and follow-up actions.
  • Analyse security trends and emerging risks to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Provide practical security advice and guidance to operational leaders and site management teams.
  • Liaise with security providers, contractors, integrators, and law enforcement agencies where required.
  • Support critical incident response and after-hours alarm activations on a rostered or reasonable as-needed basis.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of security policies, standards, and best-practice approaches.
  • Build effective relationships with stakeholders across Linfox business units to support strong security outcomes.

Are you the one? 

You are an experienced security professional with strong investigation, risk management, and project delivery skills. Highly organised and detail-oriented, you're confident managing multiple priorities, building stakeholder relationships, and providing practical security solutions. Whether conducting audits, leading security infrastructure projects, or responding to incidents, you take a proactive and risk-based approach to protecting people, assets, and operations.

The ideal candidate can demonstrate: 

  • Experience in security, investigations, risk management, asset protection, law enforcement, or a related field.
  • Previous experience managing projects involving CCTV, alarm systems, electronic security infrastructure, and access control solutions.
  • Strong investigations experience gained within a commercial environment or law enforcement agency.
  • Experience conducting security audits, compliance reviews, and risk assessments.
  • Practical understanding of security risk management frameworks and security governance.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience working autonomously while contributing to a broader team environment.
  • Current or previous law enforcement experience will be highly regarded.
  • A qualification in Security Management, Risk Management, Business, or a related discipline will be advantageous.
